  1. What a bunch of [censored]. He had 15 negative tests during the tour and gets ousted cuz he lied about his whereabouts. Now Phil, Paul, and Bob are making accusations against his performances with nothing more than a "gut feeling". They are slandering Ras. Show me the damn positive result!!!

Why didn't they claim he was doping the past two years when he won the King of the Mountains?

  3. and Barry Bonds has never tested positive either...

  4. I suspect our OP is an ambulance chaser.

  5. it's not like he or any of the protour riders have jack [censored] for rights, most top condenders don't want the courts digging too deeply, and the real travesty is throwing all the great yellow jersey drama out the window basically 20 stages into what's been in many ways a very crazy, interesting tour. chicken can eat a [censored], because he did lie about his whereabouts and let's face it he's a pretty obvious doper. he knew he was playing a risky game. thanks to the way rabo and the tour org handled it, who this really, really, sucks for is us, the fans. this entire tour has turned into a joke.

  6. Kylling has grounds to sue ONLY if his team violated terms of his contract.

I doubt that will happen IF his contract allows for the team to sack his ass if he lies about where he was training in preparation for the TdF

    Men in Black

    movies i've never seen

cyclists i hope i never see either

  7. Rasmussen was dismissed by HIS TEAM.
    for a couple of reasons.
He lied to the team about his whereabouts.
He failed to advise the UCI of his whereabouts, thus missing 4 out of competition dope tests (2 by the Dutch & 2 by WADA)
    Pressure from Rabobank

ASO & the UCI only welcomed the dismissal.

    Quoted post said:

In a statement released late on Wednesday evening, team sponsor Rabobank explained its reasons for the removal of Tour de France leader Michael Rasmussen and his subsequent dismissal by team management. Following immense media scrutiny in recent days, the bank confirmed that Rasmussen had indeed lied to the UCI about his whereabouts in June, training in Italy rather than in Mexico as he originally stated.

    .........

The bank said that its board members supported the decision to dismiss Rasmussen, but insisted it did not intend to withdraw sponsorship funds. The team itself is not leaving the Tour de France, with de Rooy allowing the riders to decide whether they wish to start Stage 17 on Thursday morning.

  8. Chicken man was missing during May & June about 6 weeks out from the tour. lets say that while he was AWOL he was juicing himslef to the max and doing the most outstanding training ever in the Italian alps (or wherever). The fact that he hasnt tested positive doesnt mean anything becuase he wouldve got massive amounts of benefit from the supercharged training.

had he been available for testing and they came calling, he would not have had that opportunity (all alledgedly of course)

Bingo--the benefit to the body's ability to endure the work effort would be incredibly enhanced with the dual-pronged approach of training at altitude whilst doping. Even if the doping itself wears off when the Tour begins (thereby ensuring negative test results), the body now has a higher maximum effort.

I guess altitude training with killer workout music and energy drinks/gel isn't enough for these guys. The music alone is enough to help my body endure more effort.....but then again, I'm not racing.

This is the point. His team had every right to fire him but Sherwen and these guys saying that his good TT performance was dope related without evidence are completely wrecking this guy. Who the hell would sponsor Ras now? It just cost him millions. Same thing just happened to Petacchi.

what i got out of their comments was that maybe Kylling's TT performance WAS too good to be true for a reason. they didn't directly say he doped to win the TT-----but after what has been revealed aren't we ALL now wondering HOW Kylling was set to win this year's TdF??
How did he destroy Valverde in the TT? Then again.....how is it that NOW Valverde isn't the superhuman anymore? Was he doping previously...only to be clean now?

Almost everything is in doubt now, innit?

Ahh you would have to be a pretty stupid doper to actually get caught these days. The drug tests aren't going to catch many people seeing as though the drugs they take are identical to the ones naturally produced in your body.

Its the fact he lied about his whereabouts that makes it pretty obvious he was trying to avoid detection.

    .

you shouldn't speculate about what they use, because they're most likely using alot of [censored] we don't even know about.

as far as getting caught = being stupid, i don't think that's the case at all. have you ever been under pressure and just plain messed something up? or have you ever replaced shingles on the roof in the middle of summer? these guys are racing for hours upon end every day at great speeds and hot asphalt, and their team is mulitasking so many things i think it's more of a miracle that anyone makes it through a grand tour without getting popped. look how many top guys have been caught lately in tours. they're not all drooling, malformed [censored]. it's just that it takes one little slip to land you out of the sport for 2 years.

As far as I'm concerned, he didn't miss any tests. He informed about his whereabouts late, on two occasions, which then both resulted in two warnings. One from the danish cycling union and one from wada. So that's four warnings, for two different offences, but no missed tests.

    This is what I've heard.

I still think that's a bit of a leap. Who knows why he lied exactly. Maybe he wants to avoid people and press. Maybe he has a mistress. I'm not condoning any of his actions, but again...How does this equal doping and where is the positive result?

I agree. The guy probably did lie (he still says himself that he never did), but without further evidence, this is not a doping case. It's only a case about breaking the rules of informing about your whereabouts.

    If he's innocent, he will...

I hear what you are saying but I think that logic is flawed. So if he doesn't sue it means he did it?? Again, I think that's a stretch. I don't understand the guilty until proven innocent philosophy.

All I'm saying is, in this particular case, and I definitely was NOT in Italy, and I have not spoken with Cassani (as Cassani is stating), I will take a lawyer and sue those [censored]. Why shouldn't I do it???

If I'm guilty, I can still sue, but only if I'm convinced nobody else has seen me in Italy in June...or I attack Rabobank on other grounds.

    If I'm innocent, and I don't sue,...I'm an imbecile !
