Rasmussen doped?

Rasmussen has always been a fierce climber. He has little in the way of challengers on that count.

Vino has lost enough skin this last week to make a football with. Doping or not they don't make drugs that good to get him back on top that fast.

[censored], i don't know how you watch Cycling. If someone puts in a great preformance, why must he be doped. Mabye he is talented, and ate right and trained hard. Maybe he is doped, but not because he won, but because he is a professional bike rider.

Rasmussen did the same thing in 2005, destroyed the Pelleton and, had he been able to TT, would have won the Tour. But alas, he fell, what 3 times?, on a TT? Poor guy.

He has no peers in the mountains.

That was one ugly time trial. The next day, I was on an easy training ride and due to pure inattention, briefly went off the edge of the road. Another rider pulled up next to me and said "Dang, you almost pulled a Rasmussen!"

I've been watching the tour for years. You would think that with all the best riders in the world there would be at least a couple that could climb with Rasmussen. How is he so very much better than anyone else? When we have had someone else who is consistently better than the rest, doping is assumed.

He did it in 05', 06' and now 07', either he's one of the best drug test scammers in the history of the world, or he's just great in the mountains. Why don't you go and look at the archives, this race is loaded with individual greatness. If you want to believe they were all dopers, than so be it.

What rubbish. Quite an insult to a dedicated climber. How you can say that about Rasmussen and then say riders like vino & others are clean is laughable

You obviously don't understand pro bike racing. Generally he doesn't ride for overall due to his poor time trialling. The GC contenders were never going to follow him.

More like in 05, the Peloton let him go.

Yesterday was more of a destruction though the big GC boys probably don't consider him a true threat to win the Jersey in Paris.

Professor Wilmar you made my point. Last year they did not go after Perrero because he was not a serious threat for the GC and they screwed up and he will probably be declared the winner. This year they don't go after Rasmussen and he puts up time in the mountains because he is not a serious threat for the GC. Is he a serious threat... I don't know but time will tell. I don't think his chicken legs have anything to do whether he will win or lose. I really don't need to be reminded about the time of the break last year since I brought it up. You can wip your mouth with the bib you have snapped around your neck cause you are starting to drool yourself and keep your bigoted remarks about the handicapped to yourself.

Yes my post was meant to hurt retarded people, and had nothing to do with the poster who insinuated that a climbing specialist is probably a doper (any more than the others) because he was the winner of a climbing stage of the tour. 😄

A climber like Ras should put minutes into most of his rivals. He is a specialist.... Some guys can climb, some guys can sprint. No one questioned McEwen, Boonen, Cipo when they blow the field away. And they do on every sprint compared to most riders in the pack. To think dope has to be involved in every ride that seperates the specialists from the average riders is just wrong.
