Ragu Organic

flavor of organic products is indistinguishable from the regular
version. What's the worst that can happen? You won't like it?

Besides which you can always goose it up...add a can of tomatoes, fresh
garlic, veg, olio, herbs, etc. You could also use it as pizza sauce in a
pinch...

I buy the cheapo bottled sauces on sale (sometimes a jar is 89 cents) and do
this, it turns out pretty okay...I might not serve it to company (I'll make
my own from scratch), but it's fine for me.

The OP is wasting his time returning the jars, it would probably take more
in time and effort to return two jars of Ragu than the sauce is worth...

Agreed, Greg. There must have been some appeal to cause the OP to buy it in
the first place - perhaps that "organic" label. Why be afraid to open a jar
of sauce and use it? Hell, if you don't like it you know not to buy it
again. If it's just okay, spice it up with your own extras and learn a
lesson.

Well, I bought them because the coupon made them really cheap, but then
I recalled that icky taste I got in my mouth in the past, and became
afraid. Anyway, I suppose in the organic version they don't put icky
stuff in it, so it might be fine.

Don't count on it. We have regularly tried Ragu sauce once every ten
years. Each time it has been so sweet it made us want to gag. The
organic version may not have pesticide residue, but check the
ingredients list for corn syrup. -aem
