  1. I am looking to get a video of a tour de france to watch while I ride on a trainer. All the ones I've found are a 12 hour version. Is there any way I could get a DVD that has the entire tour on a OLN coverage (or anything else, as long as its English). Also, what recomendations do you have on which years tour to get, or even a giro or anything.

i recommend 1989 i watch it while on my trainer. but i have it on like 8 vhs that i taped 17 years ago:eek: id like to find a dvd summary copy.

  3. Any mountain stage with Pantani riding. 🙁

In any event, there are hours of TdF, Giro and Classics on Emule - and even if they are in Italian/Spanish/German it is usually relatively straighforward to figure out what is going on! 😉

Also, you might want to consider the CSC team video movie Overcoming (out on DVD), which will give you an inside view on what riding the Tour means. Excellent.

I may be wrong but I don't believe full coverage DVDs of the grand tours are available for sale. the 12 hour version should suffice. My buddy has Giros 03-05 and I have the TDFs of 04 and 05. There's plenty of footage there to keep us occupied. overcoming is good but not exactly what I'd call trainer material, too much dialog and off the bike footage to be motivating but does make for a nice view on the couch...

Keep an eye out on whats going on Ebay, you can pick up good cycling dvds at good prices.
SBS in Australia have good summary DVDs 4 hours of most tours. You can usually pick these up on ebay.

Ooops, you are correct... hadn't thought of that. :o Great movie though!

  7. I have some older videos converted to dvd from the 80's to early 90's. Paris-Roubaix's are my favorite to ride to the trainer.. I also have worlds, giro's, coors classics and TDF's..
