AM-B Community: RA is Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've spent some time recently looking for information on the effects of RA drugs (like Enbrel and Methotrexate) on athletic performance. Since I've gone into chemical remission, I've been riding often, even putting in some "training" rides. I'm getting stronger, but not at the pace I expect. Perhaps it is just the slow progress of a 44 y.o. guy, perhaps these drugs, or even the lingering affects of RA; it is probably a bit of all three. But I'm hoping some other folks out there can share their experiences with Auto Immune drugs like these and how it might have affected their performance.

I've heard of that boat, the SS Bummerdrag. I'll ask a family member who is a shipmate what they are using.
