....from Polar. The battery in my S150 HRM has been flat for a few months but I was too lazy to send it back to Polar to get it replaced. It was only when Helens HRM needed a battery replacement that we sent them off to get them replaced.
I was surprised this morning to get them both back, only 8 days later.
I could probably have changed the battery myself but when the Bike coop and Polar themselves say they need to be sent back I decided it would be better to comply.
Has anyone successfully replaced a battery themselves? -- Cheers the.Mark

I managed to persuade a local jeweller's shop to replace the battery in a Polar HRM. They made a point of warning me that they wouldn't guarantee that it would still be waterproof. I watched them do it and it looked trivial. YMMV :-)

It's the waterproofness that concerned me most. -- Cheers the.Mark

Hi, yes I've done it myself. My Polar S410 was out of warranty as I've had it since 2001. It was quite simple just make sure you get a good fitting screwdriver for the screws as they can be quite tight. I purchased the battery from, http://www.battery-force.co.uk/bf/detail/RACR24001A/show.html, at £1.55 each. As for waterproof ness, I only use mine for running and cycling so I wasn't to concerned.

I changed mine, but managed to trap the rubber seal, and then managed to drop it in a swimming pool. It no longer works.
