  1. I read in Velonews(i believe it was) that some pros sell their old bikes.

has anyone here ever did that.

also would that make D3 riders like the 11K dream (extra money from selling bikes) instead of
    the 10K dream

  2. Most pro's do, there is not that much money in racing. I look at it as part of their saleries.
Some teams make the riders give the bikes back or buy them from the team. I am sure that I will get some heat for this on this message board (I know that this is not the marketplace forum) but check out my site, I sell used pro gear; www.theprosstuff.com

OK, I won't ever post my site up here again........

You won't get any [censored] from me. I see nothing wrong with giving the racing NG first shot at former
pro racing bikes, and gear. As you said, most Pros don't make much. Seems to me that linking sales
of Pro racing goods here benefits everybody. Bill C

  8. think about it though, if it is supposed 'ex-pro' gear, when was the last time you saw a pro who
wasn't at least some shade of 'petit' ? probikekit.com usually has a decent selection of 'non-petit'
    sizes as well as 'petit'.

  9. I found a 5XL jersey the other day on EBay. They told me it was actual 'team issue'! See! Not all
    pro's are petit!

But some sprinters appear to be bulkier than the little mountain goats

see Erik Saunders' post. He's raced on a French team.
