Weight train if you like/have time. It can improve the quality and quantity of your muscle fibers
and keep your smaller muscle groups in the legs strong. These smaller muscle groups may get chewed
up during rigorous training, sacrificed/cannibalized to for the sake of larger muscle groups that
receive lots of attention during running. My doc says a lack of weight training can contribute to
small muscle group problems like ITB.
Most importantly, try to get information like this from running guides, medical literature, or
sports physicians - not from nameless faces like myself or people with cartoon cocks in their
sign-off (see below).
