People aren't given "flu injections", they get a vaccine, which doesn't not
contain the live virus. Immunity is not a 100% thing and its duration is quite
variable. However, the overwhelming majority of those vaccinated will have
well over a year's worth of immunity and also resistance to similar strains.

Getting vaccinated is not an "affliction". It may be uncomfortable, but that
is the side-effect of [wait for it......] Stimulating the Immune System!

Immunity to a specific flu virus after suffering the disease can last a very
long time if your immune system is functioning normally. The problem is that
the flu virus is prone to both mutation and "genetic drift," so that the
influenza that is circulating this year may be enough different to infect
you even if you got the flu last year. That is why three different strains
of flu are included in every year's flu vaccine. In a few years, most of the
world's population will be immune to the strains in this year's vaccine,
either through vaccination or from having got the disease, so completely
different strains will be selected for vaccination.

LOL. No greater dog lover to be found. Have a Bichon, (looks like JR) who was
in a parade today wearing sun glasses,(yes for real, the ear pieces fit through
the hat , he has cataracts, even though only 7 years old) cowboy hat, gun,
sherrif's badge and bullets attached to his sweater. It was a poker game here
at the park, with four different places to pick up a card, and see who ended up
with the best hand. Hubby and I were dressed as poker cheaters, with cards up
our selves and stuck under cowboy hats, we were chained with hand cuffs to
Ricky (our dog) who had arrested us. Other doggies were all decked out in
Christmas sweaters, bows and jingle bells.

Bicycles all decorated with blinking lights and radios playing Chriistmas
songs.

Golf cart full of presents and doggies with big Christmas bows. Lots of silly
fun loving people having a ball!!

Ledme tell ya bout my granddogs!!!!

Every dog in this park knows Jan and knows she loves them and vice versa.

Ahh, couldn't live without a dog.
