  1. I suffered a bit of a set-back this morning...

I had just woken up and I went out for a unicycle. I tried a footplant
crankflip thing and didn't commit to it. I missed the ledge with my
foot and let go of the seat. The seat fell behind me and I was unlucky
enough for my left testicle to land right on the handle of the seat...

Well it was my most painful unicycling accident yet. My left ball was
sore for the next 2 hours and I only just got enough confidence to land
    a 180 uni-spin like 20 minutes ago. I usually land 90% of my 1 spins.

Anyway now I'm too scared to try a footplant crankflip without jumping
way infront of the uni before I land. Hopefully I'll have my confidence
back tomorrow so I can continue practising. I'm just gonna take it easy
learning to wheel walk for the rest of today.

  2. then try doing it with the middle of your foot more than the balls.
if you get really used to using the balls of your feet, you will hurt
    your anckles alot...

By balls I mean testicles. I kinda experimented with different parts of
my foot, but couldn't feel much difference.

Gee, man. How'd you manage to miss the ledge? Just practise jumping at
the ledge, I guess. When you're confident with that, try to flip. Also,
practise jumping at the ledge on both sides, to find which one is more
    comfortable.

I've only missed the ledge once, when I was doing a footplant
crankflip, and it was more of a 10cm wall than a ledge. I was lucky not
to fall on the other side...

Keep at it and you'll get it, man.

Lol basically the ledge wasn't very long and my pedals went level when
I was almost at the ledge and after I had jumped I realised that I
might not make it so I pulled out. Just bad luck I s'pose lol.

I thought you should use your kicking foot to plant on the ledge?
That's what I've been doing so far and it feels fine.
