  1. I just started riding and completed my longest ride yesterday(50m). Today I noticed some blood in my urine. Could this be the seat? I purchased a decent seat and decent bike shorts. Do the seats cause inflammation of the prostate?

  2. Gross hematuria comes to mind, but then again I'm no doctor. Get off the computer and get to a doctor - pronto.

I really think it was the ride. It was my first time riding for that long. I just want to make sure I have the right kind of seat..hard or cushion?

I feel sorry for your Bears, man.

So Fifty m and you're are pissing blood. I wouldn't ride anymore until you get this [censored] figured out. Good luck. Just something as simple as different brands of shorts can make a lot of difference. But it sounds like there is more to the story than a simple fix. I hope I'm wrong.

Seats dont cause prostrate problems nor do they cause blood in the urine. The only damage that they do is nerve damage due to compression which effects your ability to satisfy members of the opposite sex, or the same sex if you swing that way.

Get to your doctor as soon as possible! My father noticed blood in his urine and it turned out to be kidney cancer. Cost him one kidney and a very small portion of his bladder. Luckily they caught it in time to cure him 100%. He has been cancer free now for 9 years.

I had blood in my urine last year and went to the doctor. It turned out that I was passing a small kidney stone and it had caused the bleeding. Blood in your urine is nothing to blow off. Get it checked!

I have read that you shouldn't ride with a completely empty bladder becuase this can cause the inner walls of your bladder to rub against each other and therefore produce blood in the urine.

Make sure you drink before your ride and keep your fluid intake up.

but, as everyone else has said - go to the doctor.
