Qu-ax splined OR Nimbus hoppley

I like them both... I think they're both equal in quality it's now up to
a matter of preferance: (just like Coke vs Pepsi)

Qu-Ax:
-48 spoke (slightly heaver but stronger)
-thicker foam seat (good if you are on the seat alot)
-yellow and black (distinctively Qu-Ax)

Hoppley
-36 spoke (lighter but less strength)
-thinner gel seat (better for pulling out to sif)
-blue and black (close in colour to a KH)

Well, Tony dented his Qu-Ax rim, and I have been told that it isnt that
great of a rim.

The Hoppley has 127mm cranks and the Qu-Ax has 145mm cranks.

I know a lot of people have said that the old KH + Qu-Ax cranks make
for a very cheap tough setup.

Get Qu-Ax...I've heard more people recommend/praise them then the
Hoppley.

get the hoppley. I've heard the qu-ax rims aren't to great, and the KH
rims are awesome. the gel saddle is much comfier than the qu-ax, and is
skinnier, so it's better for sif and flatland. the hoppley is also
better because It's 36 hole, because almost all trials rims are 36
hole. the hoppley also has a steel seatpost, a powder coated nimbus
frame(very very strong) and very grippy pedals. also, the KH hubs rule.

yeah but mine's a 24" and until recenlty I didn't roll out on high
drops... I'm thinking even the kh 24 rim would have flattened also.

Get the QU-AX, it has a new extra wide rim since a few month and mine
work fine. But I only test it up to 3 or 4 feet with 78 kg
You can get the new QU-AX 'saddle'
(http://www.qu-ax.de/edata/htmls/m_news.html) instead of the older one
for sure. If you also change the fork into the QU-AX Alloy Fork its
fantastic 🙂
You also have the newer generation cranks which are stronger and a bit
longer.

I have the Hoppley and absolutely nothing to complain about. It is very
strong, bombproof for sure.

Are you planning on doing mainly trials or street tricks with it?

If you want to do mostly trials then get the Qu-ax, the 145 cranks
provide waaay more control than the 127s. If you just want to cruise
around and do spinning/flipping tricks then get the Hoppley.

i don't know anything about the hoppley...but i just got the qu-ax..and
i love everything about it. The seat is incredibly comfortable i can
ride for miles w/o extreme discomfort..if u know what i mean. Its a tad
heavy, but it feels indestructable. Its also the sexiest unicycle you
can get..that yellow hub is awesome looking in person.

So since they don't sell the Hoppley anymore (I guess😕 ) Do you
all think I should go ahead and get the qu-ax? Because I don't really
want an aluminum unicycle like the KH. Because it costs 144 bucks more
and steel is tougher. Therefore I can learn on a heavy but nearly
indistructable uni and when I get better/destroy the qu-ax one buy the
better one.

Any feedback would be helpfull. 🙂

I am going for the KH because I have heard it will still hold up way
good. Probably just as good as the qu-ax. But being about 3 or 2
pounds lighter is another reason I am going for the KH.

Your joking right? The KH is WAY stronger. The wheel is where you put
most of the stress on, and hense stonger wheel is what you want. KH is
the stronger wheel hands down.
Lighter, stronger and of course its going to cost you more.
