Go to a good outdoor store and take some advice. There are lots of good brands. I bought a Coleman
back earlier this year which copes with most cold weather but is not too hot in the summer.

I have a Stormshield X-700 sleeping bag bought in Millets last year costing about £30 with DofE
discount. Very good Micro-fill two season bag with a decent stuff sack, it squashes down smaller

5C, according to the sack. Keeps me warm during the summer but this time of year I prefer my down
filled Field and Trek Rolling Clouds bag, it may be heavier but the warmth is worth it.

Hi, Try the Vango range....very good bags and they do some in very small kiddy sizes if they are
little.....or get them full size bags and tie a belt or rope around the bottom so they only use the
length they need...helps to keep the warm air in. My daughter uses a Vango Nitestar 300 for much of
the year.....just using a thicker bag in deep winter. I know there is a 400 that they do in smaller
if you want it warmer £30ish for the 300. Hers has lasted 5 years so far with no damage or
degradation to the filling despite being packed stuffed due to lack of storage space.

Some of the very cheap bags do not last very well and may not be as warm as they promise.

Coleman are good too.

Don't know where you are but look out for good camping shops that have tent gear, not just caravan
stuff......or Field & Trek do them.

Good luck, kids love camping , mine still does at the sophisticated age of
13....and a half!

size. Plus they supply other makes and have kids bags too.

There is a range called Caravan which are made by Ajungilak of Norway (those of down bag fame)

They are synthetic but good quality, will take abuse and are fairly cheap. They don't pack very
small but that's the price you pay.

Oh right, price. Mine was about £35 a couple of years back and it's good to about -2 degrees.
