The recent thread on punctures reminded me that I always run out of patches long before the glue, etc is used up. Generally speaking, repair kits contain about 6 or 8 patches some of which are so big that they rarely get used. However, I have been unable to find anywhere that sells patches in reasonable volume at sensible prices. The places that stock patch strips tend to charge about 1.50UKP for around 6 patches and it is cheaper to spend the 75p or so that Wilkinson's charge and just get another kit which includes the patches!
Anybody found a place where I can buy (say) 20 small patches for a sensible price?
Unfortunately postage at £3.50 makes these expensive.
If your LBS doesn't do them try http://www.mikedyason.com/ - 100 patches for less than the price of 20 from EBC. Sell/Give what you don't expect to use to your mates.

I was just browsing the site and found this, which made me smile:
"OZZO Growbag Neat under-saddle bag. Large enough for tools, spare tube and light jacket. Unzips to double in size to carry food or small pet tortoise."

I think Decathalon may also sell patches on their own. I seem to remember that I saw some when i got a cheap puncture repair set from them.

Unless it's for lunch, a softer pet wouldn't be suitable because you could forget it's there when you zip the bag back up again.

Many thanks to all who replied - I'd forgotten about Mike Dyason and I must have missed the patches in the last Lidl sale. I'll keep my eyes open in future!
