I only use mine occasionally too but like don't like those rides spoilt by the puncture. With the HPX, I can carry on at _full_ pressure. Lower rolling resistance (and less hand/arm/back ache) makes it worth carrying the extra 100g. Yes, the HPX is heavy, but the difference is only that much.

I was only joking about the weight, If I were serious I would make more effort to lose the 7000g spare tyre I take with me on every trip.
But seriously It seems a bit pointless getting extra light components, derailers etc and then carrying the extra weight as a pump.
The true reason I don't carry an HPX is because I'm a skinflint.
Surely all that slime can't do much for tube weight! They say weight on the wheels feels 3 times heavier than weight on the bike!
