The last year and a half I've been taking a class that meets on Mondays and haven't been able to
make the local Pumpers Club. This has isolated me from much of the word on the street about the
pluses and minuses of the new pump models and vendors. My MiniMed 507C is on the fritz and I need
to upgrade.
My choices seem to boil down to the MiniMed 512, the Animas current model with a free upgrade to the
one coming out early next year, and the Deltec Cozmo.
Does anyone have feelings about the Deltec Cozmo, either pump or company? They don't seem to have
enough market penetration to even show on the Insulin Pumpers web site, but my Diabetes Educator
seems to like them.
MiniMed customer service seems to have gone downhill since Medtronic got involved. I'm somewhat
[censored] at them, but don't want to rue a jump for the next half decade or so.
I had a parking lot conversation with someone last time I attended a pumper's meeting who ranted for
a half hour about the programming the Animas and complaining that she wished she had not switched
from her MiniMed.
All in all, I have no favorites at the moment.
Any comments you can squeeze off will be appreciated.
