Yep, they've been in the news lately in the southcentral Alaska area. Always a good idea to be
cautious in the early summer, when the mothers are stressed out over watching their kid(s). And be
careful around wildlife, too!

only 22.5? think how long it would take me. taking into account gas stops every 25 miles or so
(rough figure, never gauged miles per tank as i have never run it dry, nor do i have the money to
fill it just to see how long it runs on a tank. (hell, i had to scrounge bottles from the side of
the road for the last 3 gallons i put in it.)

1-I wear roadie shorts! ok, my roadie shorts are getting old and the stitching on the pad is
starting to chafe on long rides. On long rides, I have taken to wearing cutoffs, but I like my old
roadie shorts.

2-I do not ride a boutique bike. Even worse, I ride an FSR. But hey, I like how it handles and the
price was right.

Oh and my bike handling skills still suck. You would think after the zillion miles I have logged
that they would be better, but I still need the clipless pedals to bunny hop, my wheelies go all
of about three feet and lets not talk about logs. I guess that is what happens when you always
ride alone.

I probably wouldn't be able to ride 3 days, most likely I would drive down on Thursday Evening or
Friday. Ride for one day, you folks would get sick of waiting for my slow ass and ditch me. Then I
would wander around in the woods for the next 18 hours, fending off a bear attacks, and rabid
beavers, until eventually I am able to stumble back to my car. Sleep in the car and drive back just
in time to return to work on Monday only to promptly fall asleep at my desk.

Those do look like some nice trails though. I'll have to see about getting the time off work.
