Problem with S710i and IRDA

There is a known issue with USB IrDA transceivers with a certain chipset type.

For Polar usb interface owners: wich is 'Activated speed' Control Panel settings of your device?

I took my Polar USB IrDA back to the retailer and swapped it for the serial version - the serial works a treat, but the USB was a huge pain in the date.

There is a problem with the USB conection when using a Universal controler (more commonly found on Laptops). In these cases you need to get a serial version of the IRDA

I wrote to Polar helpdesk and eventually he sent me a Polar interface for free.
