Same experience. 5 days after placing order got new SIDI hi techs. Loving it.

Think I may have got one to beat even that. Ordered some gear from Germany -
Ortlieb panniers - on the 29th July. They took some time to get them out,
but dispatched on 4th August, and arrived today the 7th August. Sent Friday
from Germany, arrived Monday. I can hardly believe it!!

Hehe, now I'm waiting on a good story about US freight/post.
Extortionate prices, lousy delivery times (two weeks is somewhat less
than the record), ordinary quality control, poor customer relations.
The self-proclaimed home of free enterprise cannot get a few things
together.

I believe so - good to hear! So what is it about US shops that,
compared to UK/Europe, they take so long, for such high freight prices,
to ship to Australia?

and inconsistent too, was bidding on some HF track wheels from Virginia, they offered only one method of delivery, UPS Express, and quote cost with a postcode calulator for any internatinal orders, so I select Australia and put in my Bayside postcode cost advised is US$116. (thinking....OK fair enough, wheels, UPS about 4 days), but then I thought hang on what about if I put in Melbourne 3000, should be less, but no way, came out at $131...higher..sheesh...UPS must use some kind of reverse costing, the further out the cheaper...or a pollution/traffic snarl quotient to apply to any Oz delivery....
US postal is usually 10 days and costs OK for items under a kilo, FedEx and UPS charge a bomb outside the US, and most sellers have no idea how to properly calculate charges and just slug you ( or try to) always question charges, use the USPS calculators and let the seller know there is a better way.

USA 7 days (usually at least 10)
Germany 4 days
France 4 Days
Italy 5 days
England 4 Days
Canada 6 days
Perth 36 days ( came by Grace Bros truck apparently)

I bought David Horton's "The Runner" DVD from a little Indie film
producer in the states, and got it in about a week, and postage was $4
US.

I received a new Arione saddle from Wangaratta today. Ordered on Monday. Arrived in Perth on Wednesday.

We eCensused last night. We even filled out a little feedback for the ABS on how to improve their form.
