Pro Action Sydney One Person Tent

Not tried them myself, but saw 2 on Dartmoor a few back at the Ten Tors
event.

They "looked" good. However, both tents I saw were on their first outing and
both of them had the zip fail on the flysheet on the first night. I guess
you get what you pay for!

I was going to try mine in Scotland last month, but I took the precaution of
smearing Vasilene on the zip. However, things never turned out as I had a
wee little accident on the road.

I might actually use it for Exped 17 if the weather's right!

A friend of mine bought one on Saturday.... and returned it on Sunday!
Yes, the zip is a bit of a pain like people have said, but the reason
for it going back was the condensation, several gallons of.

Noticed there is a tag added (as an afterthought) to the tent's bag
warning that it needs to be well ventilated or there will be
condensation, but with only one vent at the head end you won't get a
through draught unless you also have the door/flyscreen open, and given
where the door is positioned you wouldn't want to do that if there was
any chance of precipitation. Still, I suppose you have to expect this
from a single skinned tent.

I used this tent last Friday night in Wicklow at Loch Firrib. I kept the
"window" fully open and some of the door. I got condensation but not so much
as to be a big problem. It was a dry warmish night. In rain , without the
open door policy it could be worse. For the price(Euro 24.99 in Ireland, I
think it's quite good.

ps I also used for the first time a Thermarest, having always suffered on a
carrymat. The Thermarest is vastly superior. I was dead snug.
