I'd bet anything that if you tested everybody at a PGA
golf tournament you would get drug positives. If there is
stuff you can take that would add distance to your drive,
with millions of dollars on the line you can bet there are
people that will take it.

I would say that a very large percentage of cycling fans in the US are in
denial, particularly those who became fans via Lance Armstrong. The survey
done by Ipsos that was recently published in L'Equipe clearly shows that
Europeans are not in denial about cyclists using drugs.

president right now, telling him if he really meant what he
said during his State of the Union speech he shouldn't go for
a bike ride with someone that has tested positive for dope.

It isn't that no one cares about drug use in sport in the US. Most
Americans have bought into the Armstrong pr machine's propaganda and refuse
to believe he could conceivably be a doper. That's why most Americans think
there is a "French" vendetta against Armstrong, that L'Equipe is a tabloid
(which we know it is not) and that as a cancer survivor he would NEVER use a
banned substance to win. .

As for who Mr. Bush associates with, I suggest to you that he will associate
with anyone who can serve his purposes. If Scooter and Karl are indicted
he'll distance himself, despite years of association. If Armstrong is
condemned by a reasonably independent examination of the Marbray lab
results, or more former associates and employees turn on him in public, I
doubt he'll be visiting the Crawford ranch much down the road.
