Primo Comet, Champ, or IRC Roadlite?

For hybrid tread tires there are the 28-451 Odyssey Red Racer and 37-451
Ritchey Speedmax.

Of course, all of these tires are only manufactured underground by gnomes.

pressure tires I can get.

Sure seems that way! I got tired of ordering from Canada or even closer
but not close enough to go to! A rarity here; but my vote is for
Primos.

Have you compared the rolling resistance of the IRC versus the Schwalbe
Stelvio (a relatively new tire in the ISO 451-mm size)?

small diameter tyre [1] and should only be used on the front of a LWB
with a light rider or on smooth tracks", and Mark Stonich, "This tire is
designed for the front of racing wheelchairs, where it probably carries
less than 20 lbs. Use on a bike at your own risk."

[1] Referring specifically to the 19-349 size, but should also apply to
the larger sizes that use the same casing.

Interesting, how much did the IRC win by?

The Comet won on a dyno test, but that was like 10 years ago. The IRC looks
a little better. The Comet I once used was real [censored], and split open. But
it looked like it had hung in a store room for 5 years before I bought it.

Several percentage points
Secret is in the casing construction
Nylon is best for lowest resistance
Soft, supple casing is key.
Fresh, new tires is best idea.
Inspect the casing for flaws.

First 5 or 6 Stelvio's I've tried failed so quickly (sidewalls on all) that I'm
now a bit put off from trying any more.

If Vredestein has made ISO 451-mm road tires, the evidence is hard to
find on the Internet. They have also apparently stopped importing tires
into the US in any sizes other than ISO 622-mm, ISO 571-mm and ISO
559-mm [1]. The manufacturers website [2] is not loading correctly, so I
could not check to see if the ISO 406-mm tires are still listed there.

If the ISO 406-mm tires are still being manufactured, they might be
available by special order from a dealer who sells bikes that use/have
used them as standard equipment (e.g. Challenge, Optima).
