I prefer to let them stew, and will occasionally say 'proper' bike. I hate the term push-bike.

Just "bike".

The RH trouser cuff tucked into the sock and the wall of sweat rolling off my bald head are seen
frequently enough to remove any ambiguity.

Conversely, everybody I know who rides a motorbike seems to enjoy strutting around dressed like
"Tron" or one of the Village People often enough to remove any abiguity there, too.
