Has anyone tried the "virtual" cadence on their current PTSL? Is it fairly accurate?

The virtual cadence feature of the PowerTap SL is the same as that found on the original Tune PowerTap from 1998. It works reasonably well if you're stomping hard enough on the pedals (e.g., when climbing), but can be worthless when you're just "feathering" the pedals (e.g., when riding rollers).

Cool.😎 I sort of thought you would. Seriously, I guess that gives you a little insight into my way of thinking -- lots of data and lots of choices.😄

So should I be holding off on the new PT and see what you come out with at Interbike? 😉

According to Saris / Cycleops this is available. I just saw it today on their website.

    saris.comc 11 power meters.aspx

    http://www.saris.com/p-257-powertap-sl.aspx

    MSRP is $1499.00

So I guess your LBS should be able to get one for you.
If anyone gets one, please tell us about it. good or bad.

No. What I am doing is compatible with PT Pro, SL and SL2.4.

OK - cool. I don't mean to pry, is this in competition to or complimentary to CP software?

Not competitive with CP software at all. CP is the best PM software on the market. What I'm doing is not competitive with anything. It's never been done before.
