  1. So I spoke with Saris and they recommended the new software. So I downloaded the PowerAgent and when trying to install, I get a message that says I need to install the windows update .NET Framework 1.1.4322.

It then sends me to the update and I download the automatic updates and when I try to install PowerAgent it tells me I still need the .NET Framework installed. This is driving me nuts.😕

Saris is sending me a disk and USB hookup, just in case I have problems...
But what the heck is going on with this software???

I had the same issues and eventually got it to work - should not have bothered as it is not a patch on CP. Save yourself some time and download CP.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... PowerTap software is little more than a sick joke played on people that spend $1000+ on a wheel.

All PT buyers should factor a CP purchase into their budget. We've all tried to get that Saris/CycleOps [censored] to work and we've all found CP 😄

See my reply in 'Powertap software and Windows XP' thread. Try downloading .NET framework 2.0 for developers/redistribution - it worked for me (it's free too).

  5. Can someone tell me what the CP software is that is mentioned in this thread. I need something other than powertap

    Thanks

    That's Cycling Peaks.

Have you downloaded the PowerAgent software from CycleOps.com. It is pretty darn good for free and the web upload capability which will go live in April will give it more capability.

It's also being currently updated, to make it more functional
