  1. I purchased a PT Pro in October and had it built on Mavic Open Pro rims and using disk covers have used it in all my TT events this year.

The thing thats annoying is that the HR data does not consistently pick up and indeed most recently has not picked up at all.
Now before anyone says why do you need HR anyway. First its to compare relative efforts last year, and second if it's part of the package I want it to work.

I have replaced both headset and transmitter batteries - and it worked ok on my Winter road bike.

    Any idea?

  2. The HR receiver in the PTs (completely independent of hub data) is the weak component in the PT system. I have replaced two PT computers due to faulty HR receivers. If you call Saris Customer Support and tell them the problem, they will send you a new computer immediately, no questions asked. You can return your current computer when you get the replacement, so you're not without your computer for even a single ride.

  3. Best and only solution...use an uncoded Polar one.

  4. Thanks for the help guys. I have e-mailed Saris customer service and await a response.

Without wishing to be ungrateful one piece of advise is get a replacement head unit the other use an uncoded strap.

Wouldnt that suggest 2 different problem areas 😕

I have three HR transmitters -- CycleOps, Polar, Ciclio. When my HR receivers have gone on the blink, none of them work. When it's working, they all work.😎

guess our advice comes from our own experiences...mine was definitely caused by a poor HR strap and the replacement one was no better...so now, if I want HR info, I just use an uncoded Polar one.

  7. I will get a hold of an un-coded transmitter. I have received a response from Saris and as Rapdaddyo says they have made a few suggestions and if these dont work will send me a new one - to the UK. Good service it has to be said though to be expected given the investment.

    Thanks again
