Its ALL in the book, including a power training program. The CyclingPeaks (http://www.cyclingpeakssoftware.com/) site is also a good source of information

  3. Yep, that's on the list too but I guess I'm keen to read up a few things. I have setup my program with 4 week cycles (3 build, 1 back off), taken from Friel's Training Bible.

I have not started writing in the sessions yet but was just wondering if 2 months down the line I may find out I have to change everything.

Is there a program that can be used with HR while I wait for the PM ?

All of Andy's training levels are defined in his book by power, HR and RPE.

  6. Yeap. Get the book. I got mine and read it in a day. It is easy to read and follow, but it takes time, experience, and insight to go beyond just basic comprehension. That is, truly understanding, the how and the why of it all.

So in short.....read the book, define your goals, target your training. Repeat as necessary 😄

  7. Excellent thanks!

I'm looking forward to getting it. I've been getting good results training by HR so ready for the next step!

Stil not sure which PT model too go for....aaaah life's little "problems" 😉

    thanks again!

  8. Lots of useful references here, including FAQ which cover many of the acronyms - er that would be Frequently Asked Questions, another TLA....🙂

  9. Some good docs here, and Friel's trainingwithpower.pdf
