Hi everyone,
For a long long time I have had problems with severe fatigue and it seems to be all tied up with
eating, especially in the morning. Very quickly after eating breakfast ( I feel very drowsey and
drunk like and very very tired) This can happen about 10 minutes after eating and can take a few
hours to reduce a bit (but the fatigue never leaves me).
I took my BG levels this morning and would like some advice on then. They are probably normal but
worth checking with you guys anyway.
7:30 - Fasting BG of 4.4
8:00 - Ate some just right cereal with milk and a piece of rye bread
9:18 - BG of 10.2mmol (183)
10.25 - BG 8.8
11.10 - BG of 6.4.
I guess I am wondering whether the big jump from 4.4 to 10.2 over such a short space of time could
be causing the problems? Is this normal? If not, then why does it make you so tired?
Thank you all so much for your consideration.
(Please note that this is a personal meter and I was just testing my BG to see if that could be the
root of my evil. Also it may be worth nothing that in my 5 hour GTT my BG dropped to 2.2 in the
second hour.)
Thanks again.
Cheers,
Ray
