I take it you don't read any other newsgroups or fora !
I'm finding this group particuarly civilised and minor trolls vanish into
the mist if everyone simply blocks them and never quotes what they say.

Hmmm. Johnny Draymen. Posting history zero. With posting host

Yes, the subject line describes the post perfectly.

Anyone can post to Usenet, even someone as stupid as mm, so there is
really nothing you can do to stop them posting. The reason they post is
precisely to get the reaction they got from you. If you feel very
strongly, and I agree that mm is particularly obnoxious, you could try a
complaint to his or her isp. You can do this quietly without posting to
the list. However, re-arrange the following phrase to find the best
approach to dealing with them.
"Trolls the feed not do".

As the other poster says, it's easy to spot. He is too thick to change his
mail header. It includes the following IP address:
NNTP-Posting-Host: 81.104.117.196
This ties him back to NTL, which is the link I provided in another post:
The above thread also contains a link to NTL's complaints form.
As another poster says, complain to the appropriate ISP.

No. Abuse reports are rarely effective against flamers except in the
case of racism or real life threats. A flame such as, "eat
radioactive material and constantly glow till you die which i hope
would not be long" would not be taken as a serious threat.
In any event, a single well written complaint is more effective than
the mail bombing of an ISP.
This is an example of a complaint I made which resulted (I think) in a
two week suspension of a user's account. (Note that all headers were
included in the forwarded message):

Graham, perhaps you should be informing the police. If not, why are
you assuming the muggers are immigrants?Cheers, helen s
Let's face it it's Bristol. The Police have their hands tied these
days, but have already shown that most muggings are carried out by
Blacks, Afrio-Carribeans or whatever the in name is these days. If the
Police were allowed to get on with their job without allthe political
interference then crime would be way down. If all people who are
Afro-Carribean or African were deported to-morrow crime would drop
dramatically.

John, chill out! This is newsnet. It wouldn't BE newsnet without [censored]
like this popping up every now and then.Sometimes they can even be thought
provoking (but in this particular troll's case he's just an [censored]). Just look
on him as the price you pay for being able to say what you really think
about something.

Very occasionally, yes... having a prod at the pooter having just got out of

come with a zoom lens, so you will be sorely disappointed......

returned from singing in a concert.
