  1. A good sight I found ...on 'Posting'....Who agrees with it ?....Is it the
'correct' way in all Newsgroups ?...or only in 'some' type of groups ?

    Common sense is *often* wrong.

But everyone thinks that *they* have common sense - it's the other guy who
    doesn't!

If they have to use Shockwave Flash to produce a site about newsgroup
posting standards it's probably not worth reading.

So far this is the dumbest post of the year.

Nope. Your post takes that honor. If they cannot produce a site
explaining posting standards using html or plain text it's not worth
reading. A lot of sites use flash to send ads, or other similar
material. Anyone who cannot explain posting standards using plain text
or html should return their computer as they are too ignorant to operate
    it properly.

Since you did not see it, you missed the entire point of what it is about or
    how it is done.

I'm sure Spielberg can make movies using black and white 35mm film, but
there is a reason he chooses not to.

You are astoundingly stupid. People use Flash because it can add animation,
sounds, and other features to a web page that you cannot get with HTML. It
is a lot more difficult than plain HTML, and people use it because they
prefer the results, not because they cannot do it with plain HTML. Sounds to
me that you do not understand Flash and are too dumb to figure out how to
use it, so you criticize those who can use it. Pitiful.

A majority of web design professionals disagree with you. Vehemently.

It may be more correct to say that that many things which
may be labelled "common sense" are in reality neither.

That's the point about the posting etiquette site which uses elaborate

    communicated in text-based news groups!

    Get it?

    Alan Moorman

    No, I don't. You surely don't either.

If you took the time to look at it, you would know it was a spoof. Get it?

You have to laugh at people that criticize things they have never seen and
    know nothing about.

You criticized something you never saw and yet you say I argued speciously?
I didn't argue at all, I just made a comment that you don't know what you
    are talking about.
