you

great if you have kids and want to get them walking. And for those days
where you can't decide where to go.

I meant to take a camera and send him a photo, but forgot it at the last
moment, but I didn't know what to expect, so I just looked at the odd
assortment of plastic animals out of Xmas crackers and a key-ring.
I signed the book on his behalf.

It involved plodding through a swamp in the grounds of a cemetery to get
there, but his GR was spot on, and I would never have found it without
the GPS!

I also had to make two road detours (due to floods?) and another because
of a major gas leak, and got completely lost in Blackley. I had to
resort to back-tracking along the track of my outward journey to
extricate myself.

I saw some work being done on the "B of the Bang" sculpture by means of
a hydraulic platform on the way home. The men must have been 100ft
above ground, and again I wished I had the camera....

Just so the rest of the NG doesn't get lost in the cemetery in Blackley
(pronounced) Blake-Lee (lol) it is in Manchester and the "B of the Bang" is
a new sculpture outside of the City of Manchester Stadium, so called after
Linford Christie said he set off the starting line in a race at the B of the
Bang.
