How do you define a liberal?
Many liberals don't agree on various issues and many right-wingers can seem liberal to liberals on other issues.
Being liberal doesn't mean the same as being weak.
Take Schwarzennegger. He's always been liberal so far as I can tell. He smoked dope in Pumping Iron, screwed around more than Clinton, has nothing against gays. Not exactly weak though is he?
Actually it pisses me off to see Arnie standing by Bush, which seems hypocritical of him. According to his book, some German bodybuilders gave him a book on religious orders when he was a teenage bodybuilder in Austria. Arnie said he read all the hideous things and cruelties of the monks and religious zelots and announced to his parents he would no longer attend church with them. He said that from then on he would get to the top on his own and forget the whole idea of asking God for this that or the other.
So, how come he now rejects the methods that built him in the first place, getting wrapped up with those neo conservative idiots? Why doesn't he switch to the Democrats?
Lance Armstrong is also an atheist. He makes it damned clear in his autobiography. The guy was strapped by his religious stepfather as a kid which made him decide to dump religion and believe in his own abilities to get to the top.
