Doug, Parker, others, I have started a grass roots thing in
regards to voting. I listened to my son and his buddys [censored]
about how they hate GWB, and what a lieing scummer he is,
and how he should be out of office. However none of them
vote, so I have convinced my son to register to vote for the
first time, and he in turn is reqruiting a few of his
burnout friends to register too. Then he will get each of
them to reqruit a couple of their friends to vote for the
first time too. We are shooting for a snowball effect to get
new democrats registered, and if necassary I will drive them
to the polls. Why don't you two guys, and the rest of you
who hate this war mongering, mental midget, do the same?
Remember that only 400 votes could've changed the course of
history. I'm aiming to personally register 400 new democrats
family and friends. How about you guys? Will you help out?
Just from this newsgroup we could enlist another 400
democrats and change the course of history. Imagine if Bush
was defeated by say 200 votes this november, we'd all know
that we were responsible for changing the course of our
country. What do you say Doug? Parker? Anyone else?

Parker? Anyone else?I don't think Doug and I can have much effect locally as
we're both in NY a state that's pretty much in the bag for
Kerry. For it to work those votes need to be in the states
that can make a difference. States where voters have been
purged off the rolls for heinous crimes, you know the ones,
like being Africa-American. You're right though it's easier
to complain than act , I will look for ways to support new
voter registration nationally. -
Further proof that people who act by only listening to their
hearts vote Democrat, and people who actually use their
brains vote Republican. I actually think we need a mix of
both, as long as the brain-users are in charge.famous runner wrote in message ...

Not true Parker, think globally, not locally. The snowball
effect will trickle into other states. Any friends or
relatives in other states? Start with them.Quoted message said:

affairs. "Get out the vote" programs are specifically geared
towards getting liberals into office. OTOH, republicans
understand the value of their vote. They understand that our
ancestors have fought and died for our right to vote. There
is no question that on the first Tuesday in November it is
our duty to know the issues and vote accordingly, regardless
of your political views.tkb

We are paying more now than ever, of course you don't count
record high gas prices, heating oil, etc etc, or the cut in
tax returns we have gotten the last 4 years in a row. If you
believe differently you must make well in excess of 100,000
a year, because only the rich are paying less than they were
4 years ago. -

Lately it is. When Clinton was in office and the repubs
[censored] about him getting a hummer I didn't say "you need to
STFU and support ourhearing for 4 years now! Instead I chuckled and said "oh
well, that's your opinion". See the difference? -
