At lunchtime Nathan & I went out for a jaunt round the
lanes. Pootled over to Castle Acre to Nathan's favourite Ye
Olde Worlde Tea Shoppe, where he had a large portion of
homemade apple & blackberry pie topped with vanilla ice
cream, all washed down with a raspberry milkshake. I was
good and had a bowl of carrot & cumin soup with a wholemeal
roll (no butter) and a cup of coffee. Then we pootled back
home. I then mowed the lawn... and I am more cream-crackered
by that than by cycling. It's been a dreary day here in
Norfolk, *very* gray and overcast, but putting on the yellow-
lensed specs gave the world a sunnier hue. On one of the
narrow lanes, a BMW driver stopped to let us pass! Heavens
to betsy - a polite BMW driver! Of course both Nathan & I
said thank you to the driver.
All-in-all, a pleasant day even though the weather was
remarkably dull.
Cheers, helen s
