No, I'm not blind, nor am I inherently spacey; this morning, however, I undertook a simple task before reality, courtesy of caffeine, had set in. I suppose none of you have ever blooped in the kitchen??!? C'mon, tell me you haven't! :-P
As for the double posts, my news server appears to be running amok. I'm open to suggestions as to how to fix this annoyance.

Years ago when I smoked like a fiend, I reached for a handful of popcorn while engrossed in a movie on TV and ended up with a mouthful of cigarette butts. It pays to pay attention. :-)

I thought you must *know* I was joking. I have a plastic story of my own.

The other day I picked up an egg out of the carton, and it just flew out of my hand like gravity had temporarily been suspended. But then gravity re-asserted itself and the egg splattered all over the floor.
(The dog leaped on it avidly less than half a second later, so there was a silver lining for SOMEBODY. And she'll have a glossy coat now.) :-)

I don't make mistakes in the kitchen. I meant to do that. ;-)
Besides, I have two large dogs that will eat all the incriminating evidence of a recipe gone bad.

And so to dinner . . .
Spitz
Spitz,
I tried making a batch of basil pesto sause in a blender for a change. With all the ingredients blending, without turning off the blender, I took a soft rubber spatula and proceeded to push down the sides of unblended basil leaves, to feel the blender shred the spatula into the mix. It shredded about 1/3 of it. I debated picking through it but ended up trashing it. Dammit!

If you use a wooden spoon instead of rubber and make that mistake and shut off the blender soon enough, you can usually run it thru a screen strainer and save it...
But, it's best not to do that at all. <lol> -- Peace! Om
