This is what motivated me to buy a road bike:

So far I've yet to encounter this particular club 🙁

I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be to ride like that on
anything other than absolutely smooth brand-new asphalt. Floppa floppa.
Ouch! Hurts just thinking about it.

There are a couple of posts below your photo about a guy whose bike is
locked to a bike rack at his school with a Kryptonite lock -- and he's
    lost the key.

I wonder if it's still there *now*.

probably still rusting away there. oh well.

Not if the local thieves have heard about the Kryptonite lock
    kerfuffle....

Yeah, but they'll have nicer bikes to steal than Scott's old one, which is
all ratty and rusty now having been abandoned on the rack, I bet.

He upped and moved cross-country, so he's not terribly interested in the
bike anymore, I can tell you that.

Yeah, you could get a black eye if you hit a pothole.

Gawd, I'm SO tempted. At least I'd never have to worry about my sons
    stealing my stuff.

    *snorfle*

I don't know about that--with the whole 80s nostalgia thing going about I
can see pink items becoming a hot commodity...

Mmmmm, pink panel shorts, scrunched leg-warmers, and Duran Duran blaring
from the flesh coloured handlebar radio.

    😄

And I ran, ran so far away
And I ran, but couldn't get away!

I think that's the lyrics. Not that I really want to remember.

I think I know a few guys who would have the same problem but I doubt
you'll find them on bikes unless they lost their auto license. :-)

Well you North Americans couldn't get away with that kit.
Just play it safe and stick with your USPS gear.

Anyway, Marco knew better than to show up for one of my
    training rides wearing that kit.

Try team Aleassio kit, at least riders like Andrea Noe show up for
other races besides just doing that french one in July.

I'll bet no one required them to wear helmuts either.
