  1. I made it earlier today! You were right, it tastes very good. The kiwis
tasted a little like strawberries, in this combo, I found.

Since I live in a no-salsa country, I had no idea what to serve it with.
So I just had it on its own, as a salad. I suspect it would be good with
pan fried beef. Or white fish.

I have some left over cherry tomatoes and cilantro now. Plus plums that
I had anyway (kiwis are gone). I'll try those with plums in a salsa, as
well, this weekend. Might be interesting.

Oh, yeah, this sounds like it would be lovely on some grilled fish like
tuna, halibut or mahi-mahi. Did you add onion as well?

Thank you for the info, kili.

I didn't add the onion because I tried the salsa BEFORE adding the
onion. It tasted good and I was very hungry - wound up eating the whole
thing right then. I was too impatient. But I am sure it would have been
even better with a little onion. Which would have been shallots, since I
didn't have the red onion the recipe calls for.

So in a sense, i wasnt'exactly telling the truth when I said I liek the
recipe. But through my culinary imagination, I think I did get the idea. 🙂

    🙂

I understand that! It's always best to make a salsa a day ahead or at least
a few hours ahead, anyway. The flavors blend together so much better. Hope
you get to try it on fish sometime. :~)

I've never thought of it, but I'll have to pay attention next time.
Right now, though, I'm too sick to eat.

We eat it on tortilla chips, or on top of beans and rice.

Will definitely try that, making it ahead.. Fresh and sweet with savory
is not something I often have, so I'll be very happy to get to know it
    better.

Oh dear. What is the matter (if you feel like saying so in public)?

That sounds good. It is such a different thing from what I am accustomed
to and what people generally eat here. I suspect such foods are more
common in warmer climates than ours in The Netherlands. But spring is
finally on its way and I love beans and rice.

Same tummy thing I was taking care of Guy and Betty for is my bet.
Either that or the eggs I ate yesterday (didn't cook the yolk very
well, it was even a bit cold) had something unhealthy in them.

serene, with tummyache and cold sweats (charming, I know. sorry.)

No need for any apologies. it sounds unpleasant 🙁

I hope it will pass soon. So you will feel better AND you can get back
to the culinary pleasures of life.
