I'm well away from this. I'll take a pic of my vantage point from Mt.
Vesuvius later today on my way to the gym.

I do recognize the vantage point however.

I like that little city...some fantastic views. We visited the Tempi di
Nettuno and the Anfiteatro...never did find the other Temple..the one
that's underwater sporadically...I forget it's name.

Cuma (or Cumae), possibly.

We went to Pozzuoli but managed to go there on the day of the
week the Anfiteatro was closed. We did go up to the Solfatara
volcanic area (interesting), and we tried to see if we could
take a look at the house I formerly lived in on V. San Gennaro
but it is now part of a gated community. I could see it
from the tourist pier in Bagnoli (if you haven't been there
yet, on a nice day it's worth the walk out there).

I used to live in Naples.

The oil slick in your photo reminds me of visiting the fish markets
in Naples.
The vendors would scoop a bucket of gasoline impregnated water out
of the harbour in a bucket and throw it on the fish display to
"freshen" it up.

The Amalfi coastline is a different story, beautifull, and the
house wines in all restaurants were unbelievable.
