    Gloria,

I though the official Title is:

Ahem. That'd be Mother Superior, if'n you please. :-)
Class was great. I believe in God and I believe that God watches over
    fools and young children.

By the time it was class time, I was expecting five people. One was a
ringer. Niece Patty signed on and she got a friend to sign up as well.
There were two no-shows. That left me with three interested people. We
made a batch of strawberry jam from commercially frozen strawberries
(pictures on my website). At the end of the evening, we had nine jars
of jam to show for it and, while each had been promised one jar to bring
home, each brought two home. Yet once again I forgot to take a picture
of St. Pectina of Jella, the patron saint of food preservers. Our
motto: "Preservato, ergo sum." "I can, therefore I am."

My pupils gave me 5 stars of 5 possible. Comments were enthusiastic and
only one suggestion for improvement -- I'd waited for the two no-shows
(a couple - her and him) for a few minutes too long (I couldn't believe
someone would give up $60 so readily). I talked maybe more than I
might have (fancy that) and we ran about 15-20 minutes over scheduled.

I learned a lot -- I've a better idea of what to include and what to
merely mention. In retrospect, I'm glad we were only four total; I may
rethink the idea of this being a hands on class.

There are three more folks who want to do this who will expect to have a
    hands on experience. That's fine.

Compensation from the district is not much. Yet another thing I'm doing
but not because of the money to be gained. . . .

    Thanks for asking.

No stories I'd post to a public and uncontrolled newsgroup. "-)

Oh, Edrena, Luv -- haven't you figured out YET that I don't take myself
terribly seriously? I've buried too many family members for that.

    Not her MasjesJam?

I had a dog called "Queenie". A mean, tiny dog that bit the neighbour's
