Barb, I found your caramelized onion and onion soup recipes on your eBoard. I see you use only half the onions for the soup - what do you do with the other half? Make another batch of soup? I don't suppose they'd keep for long, would they.

I figure out a way to use them. Actually, I did make another batch of the soup. About two weeks later. Yeah, they were in the fridge all that time. No fur, no off smell. Great soup. I believe the chicken/beef broth combo is a must; makes for a milder flavor than just beef broth. JMO.
Don't know if you could freeze them; I've never tried. -- -Barb, <www.jamlady.eboard.com> updated 3-29-04.

I haven't made it yet, but the recipe occupies the top spot on my desk (no lie). I have to pick up some red wine and I'm ready to go; I'm stocked up on everything else. Onion soup is my husband's favorite and I'm dying to see how the crockpot version turns out. It would have tasted good this evening, since it has turned wet and chilly here.
I'll post you a message when the deed is done. Thanks, Barb.
