  1. Ok, so last time I put back on my crank, I tightened the pinch bolt
really hard with about a one foot extension to the allen key. I noticed
today that the space where the pinch bolt pulls the two parts of the
crank together is curving inwards because the bolt is so tight. Is this
    a bad thing?

  2. Probably. You shouldn't overtighten anything. 1 foot will give you a lot
    of torque...

  3. Here is a picture so you can get a better idea of what I mean:

Look right where the pinch bolt goes through the two peices or crank. I
narrows the gap slightly. Is that bad?

  4. Looks like they're bent. If they are, it's definetely not good. Or maybe
they were made that way, but probably not.

  6. No, don't think so. If they're bent it's too late to loosen now. I don't
think they're gonna straighten out. Just leave them and see what
happens. Do they look the same on both cranks?

  7. Oh, and btw. I have very little experience with bent cranks and stuff
like that, so don't overvalue my opinion or anything.

  8. You should be fine for now, it isn't a huge deal but it will weaken the
pich bolt. My guess is you will probably be upgrading just to save
weight before it breaks. Never add torque when tightening up parts for
a unicycle, you can get too much just from a normal allen key already,
as you can see you don't need to be adding even more to it.

  9. Yeah, I figured it was too tight, so I loosened it and tightened it up
with a regular allen key. Thank goodness nothing was bent, and Im not
too strong so I dont think its too tight now. It only bends in like 1/4
or a mm now, so I think its good.
