  1. Do any of you clowns ever think about your pH? Do you know that your body
needs to be slightly alkaline if you hope to avoid disease? A typical high
protein diet would be highly acidic. Bad things happen to an acidic body
    sooner or later.

    David...

While Coral calcium is indeed good for you, it has nothing to do with
controlling your body's Ph. :-) Your body has a number of complex
mechanisms (primarily involving the kidney's and lungs) to control Ph.

Normal serum Ph is about 7.4, Just slightly on the alkaline side.

Any variances of even as little as 0.2 (7.2 or 7.6) and you will get
VERY sick and are generally not even concious.

    Take coral calcium. It's beneficial.

But not to "control" your Ph. ;-)
That whole concept is a serious scam.

    Cheers!

No, but I think about the pH of various body fluids of my patients, 36
    hours a week.

I don't know it because it's nonsense. The "body" doesn't have a pH.
Various fluids of the body have various normal pH ranges.

No. Does this mean you don't eat steak? I'll have yours.

I guess I sent the wrong link - I wasn;t really talking so much about taking

    Just for you Cohen:

    Dogs 'n Light Bulbs

How many dogs does it take to change a light bulb?

Border Collie: Just one. Then I'll replace any wiring that's not up to
    code.

    Rottweiler: Make me!

Lab: Oh, me, me! Pleeease let me change the light bulb! Can I? Huh? Huh?

Dachshund: You know I can't reach that stupid lamp!

Malamute: Let the Border Collie do it. You can feed me while he's busy.

Jack Russell Terrier: I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the
    walls.

Greyhound: It isn't moving. Who cares?

Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark.

Mastiff: Screw it yourself! I'm not afraid of the dark...

Doberman: While it's out, I'll just take a nap on the couch.

Boxer: Who needs light? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the
    dark.

Pointer: I see it, there it is, there it is, right there!

    Chihuahua: Yo quiero Taco Bulb?

Australian Shepherd: First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little
    circle...

Old English Sheep dog: Light bulb? That thing I just ate was a light
    bulb?

    Basset Hound: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Westie: Dogs do not change light bulbs -- people change light bulbs.
I am not one of THEM so the question is, how long before I can expect my
    light again?

Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border Collie's ear and he'll do it.
By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.

Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our
    whole lives ahead of us,
and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned-out bulb?

It does if you can strip rust with it! The body controls the pH of its
various fluids fairly well. By the time whatever you eat gets taken apart
and excreted, the effect on pH of the fluids you're concerned with is
pretty minimal if you don't have some predisposition to pathology at work
and are not doing something completely nutty with your diet. Even then pH
does not matter too terribly much unless it's a reflection of pathology!
Haven't you read all the ketogenic diet stuff here? That changes the pH of
    your pee.

Well, this article states "an imbalanced pH leads to most if not all
degenerative diseases as cardiovascular, cancer, diabetes etc" with diet
being the major influence over pH levels. I see your point about having a
predispostion etc but everyone who gets some disease must have a
predisposition to something and pH might be a barometer indicating something
    going wrong.

You have been listening to the secrets "they" don't want you to know
about. Yes sir, just make sure you are not acidic and you'll live to
be 100. Nevermind that your body has an extremely efficient buffer
