Spotted a piece in today's Metro that a lot of driving activities - fiddling with the radio, lighting a cigarette, talking to your passenger, talking on a mobile phone etc are to be reclassified by the CPS as careless and possibly dangerous driving and that fatal accidents where those were contributory will become death by dangerous driving. Don't know whether its true or a bit of journalistic imagination but could be the start of what most of us here have been asking for.

Sounds like some more spin. Remember these are the people who were very keen to bow down to the fool protestors some years ago.
I've tried looking close, I've tried looking far, I've tried looking sideways, but I STILL can't read the above ! Russ

Now change the font from Arial (or whatever it is at the moment) to something like Courier New and try again. That's what news is supposed to look like. :-)

No it is for real.
It is from a CPS consultation: Prosecuting bad driving - A consultation on CPS Prosecution Policy and Practice

I can`t be arsed with all that.
