For anyone who knows this section of the Swan River, previously the only route from east Perth to Maylands (adn cice versa) and the quiet streets beyond was a severe climb around Mercy Hospital (St Annes) and a crappy ride on Guildford Rd. Finally the bike path has been built and allows access to the river for all and takes out Fourth Ave East Hill.

Dept of Planning and Infrastructure are hosting the event, and putting on a free feed.
I reckon I will be going, just the thing to do after a Sunday morning ride.
We've been know to travel long distances for free food, but WA might be bit of a ask. Do you know if they're going to have pancakes? (Bikesoiler might ride over!) 😄

Dammit. I've got a 3rd birthday party to attend to at that time.
You'll have to eat my share. That means eating your share then twice as much again.

The opening will be at 12 at the Bardon Park end of the path.
Follow the bike path from Barrack St, Causeway, East Perth, across the Trafalgar Bridge at Claisebrook, under the Freeway and keep the river to your right.
I hope the map helps, only just bgeginning to get a handle on it.

Where is my invite to the Max-sters big lolly day? I'll see him a couple of times over the weekend, and what a lovely boy. Strong legs, he'll be a sprinter!

The maps aren't zooming in the the required resolution. Bardon Park in Maylands, that green bit just north across the river from Belmont Racecourse. Besides I do talk to myself quite a bit anyway.

Hey DeF, it's my son's 3rd birthday on Sunday... I didn't know he invited you?! See you then, I s'pose. :-)
That's not the only synergy. Check out the .sig
Back on bikes, we were thinking of getting my lad one for his birthday but he's happy riding his big sister's at the moment. And wearing her fairy dresses.

He's hopeless that boy. I showed him were the computer was and offered to give him a lift to the post-office to send his invites.
Kids these days...

So, how was it? Did the Honourable Minister look as crazy as usual? Actually, I can joke but she must be by far the best Minister we've ever had in terms of actually building bike infrastructure and taking an intelligent view of transport in general.
