Darn, I see some things I should have picked up when I stopped at the
Penzeys in Scottsdale on the way back home.

I smelled the orange extract when I was there, and it smelled rather
muted. I didn't get any. I did get some lemon extract, as it smelled
better. And the almond extract, ohmy! That stuff smelled wonderful!
I should go out to look in my bags and see what I got....

I bought it because it is 76% alcohol by volume...if nothing else it is
cheaper than booze.

I don't use the sunny paris it just rots on the shelf prefer the parrisiene
blend...

Northwoods doesn't appeal to me (tried it before)

I don't use enough horseradish...buy 1 jar of sauce lasts years.

I have the Italian seasoning

I have the oregano

Don't like the brady cheese stuff. (tastes like old socks to me)

I have that curry powder.

I did forget to get the green godess dressing though....Damn that's what I
always forget.

I like the almond extract too. We also like the taco seasoning and the
cajun seasoning, whole nutmegs, bay leaves, cocoa powder, ground
chipotle pepper.

Try this.....made it last week and have used it quite a bit. I made
the serving size to 10 servings and put it in a quart canning jar.
Sealed with Foodsaver and it is great.

Lawry's Taco Spices And Seasoning

mexican

1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon minced onion
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Add spices and seasonings and
3/4
cup water to 1 pound browned ground meat. Bring to boil, cook 7-10
min.,

Noting the sweet peppers and onion on your list, I would suggest also the
celery. I wouldn't be without it because celery is very low on Ed's
tolerable food list, so we don't use enough to justify buying fresh all that
often for cooking.

From my own experience, just about any that you haven't tried before and
think you'd have use for. Even some you think you might not have use for.
:-)

Of what you chose, I especially like the Chili Con Carne seasining for a
mild/moderate heat in a Midwestern style chili. I have all their extracts
and like them all.
