110 - 60 = 50 / 4 = 12.5 grams of sugar more in the high cal can.

That is what I thought at first except there are only 5 grams of sugar per serving in the 110 cal can. The other can has 3 grams of sugar per serving only accounting for 8 of the missing cals so it isn't that simple.

Well then, this is just a clear example of how the calorie counting concept completely falls apart when applied in the real world. Food manufacturers base their numbers on rough estimates put together by the USDA using averaging and factoring and other assorted fudge factors to come up with some semblance of an estimate. Then the food manufacturer is given all kinds of leeway on exactly how he does the calculation. Then the authorities do nothing to ensure that the manufacturers use the numbers to calculate the calories properly.
One big, vague, averaged, factored, fudged system of quantifying the approximate energy value of foods and a system allowing the manufacturers to use the numbers to their advantage. Hardly a recipe for accuracy.

Have you purchased one of each and poured out the liquid to see if the quantity of peas is the same in both brands. Sometimes they add a lot of water and less peas.

What is the actual serving size? My guess is that with numbers that far off, one of the cans simply has a math error, and is reporting a mistake.

a) Yes. The servings sizes are the same. b) No. I have not done a side by side compair but I have had both and one doesn't appear half empty. c) Perhaps I will do the side-by-side to test the water theory.

Both peas appear "standard". I would be shocked to find that one type of "standard" pea had twice the caloric density of another -- but this is not a field which I know much about.

Young peas ("garden fresh"😉 vs old peas ("mushy peas" or almost).
Older have more (complex) carbs than young, and more protein.
Maybe one is drained weight and the other is gross...
