  1. The other day I met #2 daughter for lunch after a morning at UCLA. She
suggested a place on Wilshire Blvd in Brentwood called Literati. They had a bit
of a eclectic menu. One of the sandwiches which I did NOT try was: a grilled
Chunky Peanut & almond butter with Grilled onions. ?????

It's not on their website menu, it must be something new.

I've never heard of such a thing.

When I've had recipes that combine peanuts or peanut butter with
something hot, making the peanut butter melt into a sauce consistency,
    I've loved them all.
Peanuts would go very well with grilled onions. Peanut soup comes to
mind. Peanut sauce served with Sate is great. People just seem to get
into the mindset that peanut butter only goes with jelly and thatit is a
kids food when in fact it is a very versatile food.

Sounds like it would be good especially if the onions were a little
    caramelized.

I had their Panini grilled pastrami on Rye with Munster and slaw inside.
    # 2 had their Frittata with Goat cheese & chervil
One other at the table had the grilled cheese with prosciutto.

I don't know what it would be like, I've never tried it. But I do like
Peanut butter, tomato and lettuce. Yum!
