Last night, Wednesday June 8, Wisconsin Public Television aired a program on
Sandwiches. Does anyone know if it is available on tape or DVD?
I would like to show it to a food merchandizing class.

Would you share a few recipes with us, if you buy it? Thanks

It is available on tape; we have a copy but it was bought at a discount
shop. Contact you local PBS station to see if they can help.

It was supposed to show here in Iowa last night - I had my VCR ready to
go, thinking I could send you the tape - BUT, at the last minute, they
pre-empted it for some stupid high school building thing (local). I'm
waiting to hear when they are going to broadcast it. If I ever get an
answer, I'll let you know.

There aren't really any recipes as such in the programme. Just goes
around to various parts of the US and shows some regional sandwiches
such as the Philly cheesesteak, loosemeat, St Paul's sandwich,
Vietnamese banh mi etc.Yeah, for actual recipes a person would have to buy the
accompanying book. I think the WQED website someone mentioned earlier
sells
that, too.Ariane
I saw that special too and enjoyed it. The Vietnamese sandwich place that
was featured is near me so I went there. Pretty damn good sandwich for only
US$2.50. Only bad thing is that they always try and short change me.

Stop going there. There's plenty other banh mi places in the SFBA
that won't short change you.
