I was on vacation in Whidbey Island yesterday, and biking on the sidewalks, since they SANDED their Bikeways and I cannot really control it that well. Anyways, I'm biking and I see a car, I yield as I'm suppose to do and then start pedalling, as the car -was- stopping. It didn't. Suprise! My rear wheel was hit at about 5mph, driver heavily surprised and in WA state law, I was legit. Driver had issues.

I examined myself and the driver's vehicle. Moved out of driveway and examined bike. No main issues, just noises now. Great. Driver offers to exchange info and asks if bike is fine and I said no. Told them I'd have to take it to a bike shop. It's now in 'till Wedensday for a tuneup and to get the tires slimed (I wanted it done, lots of glass and nails, I'm paying for the slime)

Yeah, tires became untrue by the car's collision and the Deraiuler seems fine.

Fun stuff.

Btw, I have a Mongoose XR-200 and that vechile made the wheel out of true to a small degree and also requires me to get a new brake line. :(
