At nearly 400 characters that wasn't a link, that was an
essay. This
http://tinyurl.com/4zymm
is a link. It's small, it fits on one line.

But, I was curious to see what you'd found, so I followed it
up... and found this:
<quote>
"Welshinfo: How do you cope with being away from your family
for such long periods?
Paul Saunders: I?m definitely not used to it. The hardest day
is the day I leave. I stand in the shower, asking myself why
I?m going away. But as soon as I get back I feel like leaving
again.
When I am home, I spend more time with my family than most
Welsh men working regular hours. My wife and children know I
plan well for my trips, so they get less apprehensive as they
find out more about the places I am going to.
But my older daughters, who are eight and ten, still try and
talk me out of it, so that?s quite tough."
</quote>
Which doesn't sound very much like the PS we know and love
here. Wife? Daughters?? Is our Paul leading a double life?

If you can keep your head when all around are losing theirs...
then you've failed to grasp some important aspect of the
situation.
You've quoted a small piece of the article - journalists get things wrong
you know!
Could they have got the whole story wrong?

If you click on <druckformat> somehow the name of the Welsh
hill walker and photographer Paul Saunders changes to Thomas
Ulrich, Swiss hillwalker and photographer. I thought it was
odd that Paul should calculate the cost of his supposed
forthcoming expedition in Swiss Francs🙂. Nice try!!

Funny enough but I bumped into Paul Saunders earlier today. He told me the
wife and daughter are well and he is still training hard in the gym.We
talked about our old neighbour who had passed on a little while ago and as
ever Paul went into raptures about his latest toy.... a Peugeot 307 Hdi. It
will probably be a good while before we see each other again although we
always promise each other to keep in touch.
And he didn't mention his planned walk across the North Pole?
He's a modest fella!

If you can keep your head when all around are losing theirs...
then you've failed to grasp some important aspect of the
situation.

Stoppit. I've just had a fortnight of flu followed by chest
infection followed by annoying coff that just will not go away
despite protestations from me that it's outstayed its welcome.
I'm fed up with it.

Hear Hear ! Poor old wifey has had three lots of antibiotics since just
before Xmas - her cough will not go away. I have blamed some of it on the
lack of that biting cold weather which seems to kill most germs that linger
about. They even sent her for a chest x-ray but thankfully she had the all
clear from that today. Still the cold weather is about to hit us hard
according to my eldest who laughed at me this afternoon - he was basking in
the warm evening weather of Mumbai! Just to rub it in he is off to Goa for
three weeks after spending some time in the hills around Darjeerling. "You
would love it here Dad" he certainly knows how to rub it in! *sigh*
The one thing though that he misses is his girlfriend down in Swansea....if
we knew where Paul was we could send him around to give her a cuddle!
Sorry to hear you haven't been well Fran.
